Dear Respected Representative,

CAIR-Florida has filed a formal complaint with the Florida House Public Integrity and Ethics Committee concerning the horrifying and xenophobic behavior and statements we have seen by your colleague, Representative Randy Fine.

Earlier this year, Representative Fine made anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian statements on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. When addressing the bombing of Gaza and the occupation of the West Bank, Palestine, Representative Fine called the Palestinian people “animals,” and called for their annihilation by saying, “#BlowThemUp.” Not only did he attack Palestinians, but he attacked advocates for human rights of Palestinians by direct messaging a constituent on Instagram, saying, “Go blow yourself up!”

He continued his hate by inciting violence against peaceful protestors, encouraging his constituents to run over protestors claiming they would be protected from criminal liability. Representative Fine also attacked people of the Muslim faith, calling Muslims “terrorists,” “monsters,” and “rapists.”

His disturbing antics were also, unfortunately, attached to the Jewish Caucus when he put out an “official statement” on the Jewish Caucus letterhead. However, CAIR-FL have spoken with a few members of the Jewish Caucus and have confirmation that this “official statement” was not approved nor supported by the Caucus.

As your constituent, I am calling on you to advocate for justice and accountability. This is urgent and must be addressed immediately. It is past time that the House hold Representative Fine accountable. The House cannot continue to excuse nor ignore this behavior from Representative Randy Fine.

I ask that you follow the footsteps of Representative Eskamani and Representative Smith in their call for accountability as no Representative is excused for this behavior. I hope that more of our Florida Representatives will also stand for truth, justice, and accountability.

I call on you to issue a public statement of support for this formal investigation of Representative Fine by the Public Integrity and Ethics Committee. Your support in this matter is crucial as you have a duty to uphold the integrity of the House and the Legislature – something Representative Fine has failed to do time and again.

His behavior has been appalling and unacceptable, and I hope you agree.
